Human Time Project HTP1 Military Watch

htp1

Thousands of people die each year in third world countries due to medical staff not having a working watch. This fact is as shocking as it is little known. The good folks at the Human Time Project are not only trying to do something about this but also offering a fantastic product at the same time. Designed with medics who have worked in these areas the HTP1 is not only a great looking watch but it is designed to do the job they need it for. For every watch sold they will donate one to a medic in the field. Not only is this a great cause but given that the watch is independently produced the price is very reasonable at $95. Available in 4 colours available for pre order now...

Hanon x Asics Gel Lyte III 'Wildcats'

hanonwildcats1

The Gel Lyte III has been a consistent feature on the trainerspotting blog in 2011 and for good reason, with a plethora of collaborations it has only sought to amplify this shoes impression on sneaker culture. Hanon are no strangers to Asics collaborations and this is in my opinion there most polished effort to date. Inspired by the local 'Wildcats' running club of Hanons home town of Aberdeen the two tone colorway is brilliant. With perforated nubuck toebox which was the preferred style of recent Ronnie Fieg collabs, 3M tiger stripes a trio of laces and a cotton dust bag this looks to be a highlight of the year end, available instore and online on 28th Oct....

Master-piece Surpass Camo Backpack

Masterpiececamo1

I won't insult your intelligence by telling you camo is quite popular right now, having featured in some form in the majority of the AW11 collections. One thing is always clear though if you are going to do camo you have to do it well, and with my second Master-piece item of the day this Surpass Camo Backpack is ticking all of the right boxes. With contrasting tan leather straps and accents this bag is made to last and will look better and better with age. The quality as with all their products is top notch and this will be a great accessory to any casual winter outfit...

Undercover x Nike Gyakusou AW11 Collection

gyakusou1

The Undercover x Nike Gyakusou collection moves into its 3rd generation and with each iteration comes a new excitement such is the expectation of this collections quality. Thankfully the good news is the team have once again delivered a superb collection. It was hard see where improvements could be made to what was an almost perfect running collection both technically and aesthetically last time round and for the most part this collection is not as ground breaking as its predecessors but after raising the bar to such a great height it is not difficult to see why. With design centred around mobility and functionality, an interesting warm autumn colour palette including various beautiful shades of slate and fairly extensive assortment of pieces from headwear all the way down to footwear I cannot fault the collection overall and long may this collaboration continue because it really has brought out the best from both brands. Available now at 1948 and from tomorrow at all other UK stockists...

Master-piece x Casio G-Shock

Masterpiecegshock1

Master-piece so consistently deliver in the accessories department it is no surprise for me to already be obsessing over their new collection. This is the first of two items I am currently coveting but these are by no means the only great pieces in their extensive collection. The watch is based on the classic DW-5600 G-Shock and produced with an understated stealth-black face and a negative-red display. The watch has discreet yellow accents and a master-piece branded case-back, completing this refined example of the brand’s considered design. Yes it is just a black watch but I cannot convey enough how brilliantly subtle this watch is, I truly love this, available now via oki-ni...

Unionmade Indigo Lookbook

unionmadeindigo1

Unionmade have had a hugely strong 2011. Their stock is always top notch and the way they present their brands in lookbook form has been increasingly imaginative and credit where credit is due they are really building a brand rather than just a store. Their current Indigo capsule collection is the icing on the cake, presented in this stunning lookbook which showcases brands including Gitman Vintage, The Hillside and Farm Tactics amongst others all centred around the indigo theme. I really enjoyed the shots and the collection itself, get over to Unionmade and check it out...

Beauty & Youth x Vans 'Cord Pack'

B&Yxvans1

Vans again yes, but i feel it was necessary to highlight the importance of the era alongside the slip on and it just happens that the guys over at Beauty&Youth in Japan have pulled out a trio of cord clad beauties. I have a huge fetish for cord legwear so these probably would be overkill for me but with a simple pair of jeans in the winter these would really work a treat. Plus I always feel vans and cords look better worn in and so this could be a match made in heaven, unfortunately they don't ship internationally so eBay is probably your only option sorry...

Giovanni Ribisi x Barton Perreira Sunglasses Collection

bpribisi1

Although I did not recognise the brand Barton Perreira I definitely recognise Giovanni Ribisi, having been the face of the brand for several seasons he agreed to collaborate on a joint venture with his own creative input. They appeal to me on two levels, the classic round frame is great and something that will live forever and with a great selection of materials and colours they have a given a new modern perspective and are perfectly suited for the sartorial and casual situations, I really think these will be well received and its nice to see a celebrity endorsement for the right reasons, see a short video about the collection here...

Vans Vault 'Snake' Slip On

vanssnakeslipon

The Vans Slip on along with the Era is simply a classic in my eyes, so simple yet such a brilliant canvas for anything you wish to put on them. This faux snake skin leather in a simple black and white colorway highlights the easy lines of the silhouette and looks really quite sinister, perfect for halloween. But on a serious note these could be the perfect accompaniment to any winter outfit. I really want to get a pair of these, they will be available soon at Vans Vault retailers worldwide...

Brooklyn We Go Hard 'Aperture' Collection

BWGH1

Brooklyn We Go Hard (BWGH) is not as the name suggests a brash American streetwear label, but a careful and considered young Parisian brand. Considering the brand is in its infancy their new 'Aperture' collection is casual, distinctive and shows a certain maturity. You can feel influences from simple parisian brands and japanese streetwear but without the confusion which many a brand falls victim. The collection is not extensive but each piece is clearly well thought out and the campaign which goes with it echoes the above sentiment, the collection is available now from Opening Ceremony and also at Below by mail order in the UK...

Kasina x Reebok Phase 3 Runner

reebokdooly

As part of the 'Dooly Dinosaur' pack which is apparently a Cartoon series. Korean retailer Kasina have released this Phase 3 Runner, if you are wondering why I have not featured the other 2 pairs in the pack it is because frankly they are laughable but somehow this pair is a diamond in the rough. I literally love the colorway and the mixture of furry suede and different meshes makes them look very much like a throwback from the past. Not sure how I would get hold of these but I will definitely have a go...
